North Hastings Public Library has many opportunities to volunteer, with flexible hours to accommodate many schedules. Make an appointment to meet our CEO, Kimberly McMunn to share your interest in being part of the library team. Lead a program, volunteer at a special event, work quietly at small tasks, we have something for almost everyone. Need community hours? We are happy to accommodate most short-term needs. Email Kim today at nhpl.ceo@gmail.com.

North Hastings Public Library has many levels of funding.

Base Funding – The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport provides an annual Public Library Operating Grant (PLOG) that we receive based on the submission of annual statistics. The Town of Bancroft contributes their PLOG and a large operational budget. The Township of Faraday has a contract for service with the library and also contributes their PLOG and an annual operational budget. The Township of Limerick contributes their PLOG also as part of a contract for service.

Value-Added Funding – In addition, Library board, staff and volunteers self-generate additional funds to enhance services and collections. Community contributions, grants, etc. support programs and materials not sustain in base funding.

Your contribution…donation of time, funds or resources does impact our community service. Thank You for supporting North Hastings Public Library.
